虽然中国地区的学生通常不会主动申请面试,但是如果接到面试邀请,十足准备必不可少。
准备好问题
面试官通常会期望你问一些关于学校的问题,谈谈你想要进这个学校的原因。多花点心思为面试准备些有创意的问题,当然前提是这些问题无法轻易在官网找到答案。
穿对衣服
你无需正式到要穿舞会晚礼服,但是当然也不能穿比基尼牛仔裤!通常来说,最好的着装是简单干净的连衣裙,深色的裤子或半身裙,平整的衬衣,再搭配合适的鞋子。让自己看上去是认真搭配过,风格协调一致的。
面试前得多练
面试也是一门技术活,需要通过练习来掌握技巧。邀请你的家人、老师或是朋友问一些他们认为最好的大学面试问题。诚实认真的回答这些问题。再问一问这些“面试官”们如何评价你的回答。在每一次面试之后你都会有所进步,所以不妨合理的安排下你的面试顺序,把你最最喜欢的学校放到最后。
做自己
要记住,你是否能被认同(或者说愉快的在一个学校学习生活)关键在于你和学校的契合度。想展现真实的自己,那就通过面试来看看你是否真的合适。在面试前思考下为什么这个学校会吸引你?你想要在这里学些什么?你将来毕业后可能会做什么?
做最好的自己
你有很多面,那就展现你专业、成熟、沉着的那一面。不要轻易表现的松懈下来,好像穿着舒服自在的衣服刚从沙发上爬起来一样。保持微笑,面试官和你一样希望面试可以愉快的进行。
别在意面试时间长短
大多数面试时间控制在半个小时到一个小时之间。学生往往被告知时间久意味着面试的好。但是在校面试的时间安排往往非常紧凑一个接一个,而校外面试通常由校友来完成。校友们都有自己的工作,所以你的面试时间很可能非常紧张。如果你发现面试官在看表,那也没有必要担心他们觉得你很无趣。
注意肢体语言
确保你自己没有在座位上坐立不安,更没有满屋子乱跑,这么夸张。如果你只是轻微的移动下手的位子,或是在听问题的时候点点头,那这些肢体语言就足够了。活跃过度往往会有反效果甚至让人留下不好的印象。
记得感谢
面试结束后,记得给面试官发一封感谢邮件。让面试官知道,面试中有哪些方面帮到了你。如果你和面试官有共同爱好的书、相似的经历、或是其他让你们有联系的地方,记得在邮件里写出来。最后,不要忘记继续表达你对这个学校的兴趣,以及感谢面试官抽出时间给你面试。
